SEATTLE – The 37th District Democrats will hold their 2012 caucuses in 13 area locations this Sun., April 15, at 1 p.m.
The caucuses give voters the chance to help shape the Democratic Party and provide the first step in selecting delegates to the Democratic National Convention, which will be held in Charlotte, North Carolina, during the week of September 3, 2012.
“Caucuses give voters an opportunity to engage in hands-on democracy,” said 37th District Democrats Chair Michael Wolfe. “This is where the rubber meets the road in terms of shaping your party and shaping your country.”
The caucuses will be held at public schools in Seattle and Renton. Voters can go here to determine where they should go in order to participate.
The 37th District is comprised of portions of the following communities: Rainer Valley, Central District, Columbia City, Madrona, Mount Baker, Leschi, Rainier Beach, Beacon Hill, Seward Park, Capitol Hill, SODO, Skyway and Renton.
