Mt. Baker Man Makes Change, Gets Robbed By Gang Members (seattlecrime.com):
Another day, another armed gang-related robbery in broad daylight with no arrests.
A police report says a man was standing on a busy street corner near Rainier Ave S and S Charlestown St—near the parking lot for a busy grocery store, a fast food restaurant, and a number of other businesses—at about 9:45 AM on March 11th when another man approached him and asked if he had change for a $10 bill. Four suspects arrested during in progress burglary call in South Seattle (SPD):
On March 14th, at approximately 4:00 AM, South Precinct officers responded to a 911 report of several suspects inside a grocery store in the 8300 Block of Rainier Avenue South. A neighbor called 911 stating that they saw the suspects inside the building carrying items to a nearby vehicle.
Officers arrived quickly and contained the building. One suspect was encountered outside of the business while two suspects were still inside. A second suspect came out of the building unexpectedly and the two suspects began running toward the rear of the building. Officers were already there and took them into custody.
The remaining suspect inside the business complied with commands to come out and he too was arrested without incident. The waiting vehicle was located nearby, as was the fourth suspect, who was also arrested.
Stolen items from the store were located outside the business. The vehicle was impounded pending a search warrant. The four suspects, all males, ages 34, 24, 23, and 22, were booked into the King County Jail for Investigation of Burglary. South Precinct detectives will conduct the follow up investigation.
Police suspect foul play in case of missing South Seattle woman (seattlepi.com):
It’s been nearly a year since anyone has seen [Nicole] Cearo alive, when she was picked up from King County Jail on March 30 by a man with whom she had a history of domestic violence, police say.
Sometime after her disappearance, police believe that man admitted killing her.
“She put her hands on me,” he allegedly told an associate, according to police documents. “See if they find her ass in Seward Park.” Read more.
Police report details last Friday’s assault of Metro bus driver (Seattle Times):
A police report released Wednesday provides more details on the assault last Friday of a King County Metro bus driver in the Rainier Valley. A 26-year-old Seattle man was arrested after he allegedly attacked and threatened the driver on Route 8.
Seattle police were called to the 5100 block of South Henderson Street around 6:30 a.m. Friday after the driver reported that a passenger had threatened to kill her. She said she was “terrified” of the suspect. Read more.
