Suspect In Rainier Beach Home Invasion Charged In Renton For Assault, Attack On Cellmate (seattlecrime.com):
The man suspected of attacking an 81-year-old woman in her South Seattle home last week is facing misdemeanor assault charges after he allegedly continued his violent streak, attacking a man at a bus stop, and later assaulting a cellmate at the Renton jail.
Law enforcement sources have identified the 22-year-old suspect in the attack on the 81-year-old woman as Solomon X. Thompson.
According to Renton police records, officers arrested Thompson on July 31st—one day after the South Seattle attack, and four days after Thompson was released from the King County Jail—at the Renton Transit Center after he hit a man in the side of the head, apparently because he was upset about waiting in line at a pay station. Cops Arrest Knife-Wielding Man At Othello Shooting Scene (seattlecrime.com):
Things were tense at the scene of a shooting when police arrived at the scene of a shooting in South Seattle earlier this month.
A man and a woman, both in their mid-to-late 20s, had been shot in a late-night drive-by near Rainier Ave S and S Garden St around 11pm on August 3rd, and the incident had drawn a crowd.
The man and the woman were taken to the hospital—the man with a gunshot wound to the buttocks and arm, and the woman with injuries to her leg, according to police report. Read more.
Two People Attacked Waiting For Bus Near Othello Station (seattlecrime.com):
An unidentified man was attacked and a woman robbed at a bus stop near Othello station around 11:30 a.m. August 4, according to the police report. They had both come from a nearby bank, and the woman told police she thought the robber may have been staking out the bank, looking for vulnerable people. Read more.
Police: Drugs, Money Motivated Mt. Baker Robbery (seattlepi.com):
Police are investigating a robbery on Tuesday in which three men with masks and guns forced their way into a house in the 3400 block of Rainier Avenue South.
A report released this week show the robbers were motivated by drugs and money.
A man who was assaulted said he and his friends were watching TV about 12:06 a.m. when the three robbers were at the door with guns. One had a shotgun and asked one of the victims to lay face first on the kitchen floor. Two others also were assaulted. Read more.
