COLUMBIA CITY – If you were trying to get around Rainier Avenue South and South Edmunds Street this morning you probably noticed the yellow tape and emergency responders surrounding the Bank of America building.

The FBI, ATF and investigators with the Seattle Police Department responded to the B of A after receiving reports of a possible arson.

According to Jonah Spangenthal-Lee, spokesman with Seattle Police, the building was damaged overnight after someone threw what appeared to be a gasoline-filled bottle at the bank.

When bank employees arrived for work this morning, they noticed a broken window and burn marks on the side of the building.

Seattle Police say the fire did not spread or cause significant damage to the business.
