Columbia City Farmers Market Winding Down; Fresh Bucks Extended Through End

COLUMBIA CITY – The Columbia City Farmers Market is winding down this month with just two market days left before the beloved south-end institution closes up shop for the winter.

In the meantime, the Fresh Bucks Program has been extended through this time, so shoppers who swipe at least $10 in EBT will receive a $10 bonus of fresh fruits and vegetables.

“This bonus program is to increase the fresh fruit and vegetable purchasing power of low income shoppers, and to increase the number of shoppers utilizing SNAP/EBT at local farmers markets,” says the Neighborhood Farmers Market Alliance.

The Columbia City Farmers Market season runs through Wed., Oct. 17. Go here to see what’s fresh.
