FRIDAY: Columbia City BeatWalk Concludes With Blues, Jazz, Folk Storytelling & More

COLUMBIA CITY – BeatWalk – the south-end’s popular summer music festival – concludes this Fri., Sept. 7, from 7 to 10 pm in historic Columbia City.

This month’s lineup features nine local acts, including The Elspeth Savani Trio (modern Latin jazz), Eric Fridrich (global blues), Hejira (Egyptian-American duo), James Germain and the Grey Grey Days (acoustic folk storytelling), Larry Murante (joyful folk/rock), Rochelle House (“Cold Jazz” vocalist), Si Limon (African-filtered Brazilian and Cuban beats), The Tarantellas (Italian mandolin/guitar duo) and special guests the famed Beaconettes.

A $7 cover includes admission to all venues; kids under 14 are free.

There will also be a Retail Happy Hour from 5 to 7 pm, with several area shops offering special BeatWalk discounts. Get more info here.
