Dear Readers,
Last week I wondered what would become of the Rainier Valley Post.
This week I’m looking at 30 people – yes, THIRTY people – who are each willing to do what they do best to help power Southeast Seattle’s only independent daily source for news, information, discussion and community-building.
I’m both humbled and amazed.
I’m also reminded that success in any endeavor is directly related to the ability to imagine, the willingness to work hard and the courage to ask for help.
Which is why I’m going to go one step further and ask the rest of you to make a financial contribution to help support this valuable community forum.
I’ve been hesitant to ask for your financial support when there was so much uncertainty about the future of the publication, but those days are over, and the sky truly is the limit here, my friends.
Last week I said I firmly believed that your RVP could reach sustainability and continue serving this community in ways that no other media organization ever has. Now I know we can.
If you’re reading this, it’s likely because you’ve come to appreciate and perhaps even depend on this endeavor that is the Rainier Valley Post, so won’t you please take a moment to support it by becoming a member?
I look forward to introducing our talented new volunteer staff in the coming weeks, and hope that you’ll take a moment to make a financial contribution as a way of thanking them for their service.
Checks made out to the Rainier Valley Post can be sent via snail mail to PO Box 18893, Seattle, WA 98118, or join online via PayPal (see link below).
With gratitude,
Amber Campbell
