Jewelry Store Armed at Gunpoint; Suspects at-Large

RAINIER VALLEY – There were no injuries or arrests Thursday afternoon when three men robbed a Southeast Seattle jewelry store at gunpoint.

According to police, it was 1 pm when the three suspects wearing black hoodies,  black bandanas over their faces, gloves and baggy jeans entered a jewelry store located in the 5400 block of MLK Jr. Way South near South Orcas Street, held the clerk at gunpoint and stole cash and jewelry.

“The suspects fled on foot and then got into a large sedan and drove away eastbound on South Morgan Street,” wrote Seattle Police Department spokesman Jeff Kappel. “An area check was negative and the suspects remain at-large.”

He added that the suspects are all described as thin, black, 6-foot tall males in their twenties.

Anyone with information about this incident or who may know the identities or whereabouts of any of the suspects is asked to call 911 or the Seattle Police Robbery Unit at (206) 684-5535. Anonymous tips are welcome.

There isn’t a jewelry store on that block, just an auto sales/shop.
