RAINIER BEACH – Seattle Police say that a man was injured Saturday when he was shot in the legs during an argument outside a Rainier Beach restaurant.
Seattle Police Department (SPD) spokesman Mark Jamieson said it was about 5:15 p.m. when South Precinct officers responded to the scene in the 9100 Block of Rainier Avenue South where they found a man in his twenties with gunshot wounds to his lower legs.
“The call initially came in as two men physically fighting,” he wrote. “And then it was reported that the victim had been shot several times in his legs.”
The suspect fled and the victim was transported to Haborview Medical Center with non life-threatening injuries.
“Officers are currently investigating this shooting,” wrote Jamieson. “This remains an active and ongoing investigation.”
