Wow, with the weekly shootings and ongoing muggings, I thought there was a crime problem in the southend. But, thanks to Mayor McWuss, I realize southend crime is a distraction to the real problem in Seattle: uppity “anarchists” at town meetings.

Note to self: stop wearing black, it scares the local politicians.

@10: I stand corrected.

Is the mayor’s office looking for a friendly, warm environment where people – as opposed to “anarchists” or dissatisfied residents – will chuck McClown on the chin and tell him how he’s doing a wonderful job? Such a location might not exist in southeast Seattle. McClown would have to relocate to a Master Builders Association luncheon, a Sonics Arena rally, or a Cascade Bicycle Club potluck.

arent we supposed to vote for a new seawall, why would a private developer build something major like a ferris wheel on a peice of land that could be destroyed in the next earth quake. i suspect the seawall isnt really needed and more of just a program to enrich the current political bodies friends.

Re: the new Ferris Wheel, I think the price is ridiculous. Navy Pier’s wheel in Chicago costs $6 and that is plenty.

Does she get to ride it for free, or does she have to shell out the $13.50 for a 12 minute ride?

I thought it was overpriced to go see a movie in the theaters, but at over a dollar a minute for the “Great Wheel” a movie is a bargain now.

For the same price per minute a movie would be round about$140.00 – $150.00

They should give away “I rode Seattle’s ferris wheel and at least I got this crappy T-shirt” shirts for the price of admission.

@Rainier Valley Girl: I think you mean McGinn likes Washington CeaseFire, not CrossFire. It’s that fringe anti-self-defense group that wants to disarm the law-abiding citizens to try to turn Washington State into Illinois (i.e. only allowing criminals to arm themselves).
