COLUMBIA CITY – Next week, the 37th District Democrats are planning to host a special panel discussion on gun violence.
In less than one week, one person has been killed and three others, including a woman and two teenagers, wounded in three separate incidents of gun violence in the Rainier Valley. This morning’s shooting is the 24th homicide this year in Seattle, four more than in all of last year.
“Gun Violence in Our Communities” will be held on Mon., Oct. 8, at Rainier Valley Cultural Center (3515 S. Alaska St.) from 7:50 to 9 pm.
Speakers will include Senator Adam Kline, King County Council Member Larry Gossett, City Council Member Bruce Harrell and Community Activist Harriet Walden.
