RAINIER BEACH – Next week, Seattle Police Department will host a Safe Communities meeting for residents of the City’s South Precinct.
The effort is part of the Department of Justice reforms and will involve bringing residents, police officers and City departments together for small-group conversations about what needs to happen to improve safety.
“Those priorities will then guide the actions the City, SPD, and the neighborhoods will take together to protect public safety,” said a press release issued by the Mayor’s Office.
The meeting is planned for Mon., Oct. 29, from 7 to 9 pm at South Shore School (4800 S. Henderson St.) in Rainier Beach.
