  1. I hate going downtown, but this morning I went to order 4 tickets to see Esperanza Spalding at the Paramount in April.

    Tickets are $30.00 and $42.00
    So I choose 4 $42.00 tickets and hit continue……$218.00
WTF? Really? $218.00 for $168.00 in tickets?

So as much as I hate downtown I will go to save the $50.00, that and go to Tats Delicatessen.

  2. Yeah…I need to get tickets to Kristen Chenowith and am planning to do the same thing. The online fees are outrageous.

  3. From “The Simpsons” episode “Homerpalooza”:

Mr. Burns: [chuckles] And to think, Smithers: you laughed when I bought TicketMaster. “Nobody’s going to pay a 100% service charge.”

Mr. Smithers: Well, it’s a policy that ensures a healthy mix of the rich and the ignorant, sir.

  4. Don’t you all know by now that the city only listens to its chosen few, heaven forbid they listen to us lowly citizens! It is time for a sit in at the city council, they need to understand that we do count!

  5. More affordable housing? Does that mean shoddy construction? Riding the train today, I noticed that many of the new buildings on MLK near the CC station have roofs that are already carpeted with moss, one even had a clump of grass growing in a gutter. Why do relatively new roofs look so bad? Who maintains them?
