HILLMAN CITY – Orcas Landing – the bar that opened in Hillman City last July – has closed after less than one year on business.

Last summer, the word on the street was that Beacon Hill’s loss was Hillman City’s gain when former Beacon Pub owner Laurie Lusko resurfaced with the opening of Orcas Landing, but the reviews have been mixed. While some praised the great food and karaoke, others complained about the poor service.

“Orcas Landing was a good idea, bad execution,” said one RVP commenter.

A Yelp reviewer summed it up with, “I really want this place to get it together so I can faithfully support this local business.”

Lusko could not be reached for comment.
