Car Slams Into Apartment Building; Residents Evacuated, Driver Arrested

RAIN-KING – One person suffered minor injuries after being trapped inside a car that crashed into an apartment building in the Rainier Valley Thursday morning, according to police.

Seattle Police say two people were inside the car as it drove into a building on MLK Jr. Way South and South Walden Street.

According to officers the driver reportedly tried to flee the scene but was taken into custody.

Crews were able to free the passenger from the car. They were taken to Harborview Medical Center with minor injuries.

No one in the apartment building was hurt.
