Around 10:15 p.m. Friday, the victim was visiting family at a home near 43rd Avenue S. and S. Myrtle Street when the suspect drove up outside the house.
The suspect and victim have traded barbs over the last two years in a dispute over a woman. The suspect, a south-end gang member, has previously threatened the victim, who grew up in the Central District.
So, when the victim saw the suspect pull up outside his family’s home Friday night, he expected to come to blows with the man.
Instead, the suspect pulled out a pistol and sprayed 15 rounds at the victim, striking him in the leg and foot.
The victim ran for cover and the suspect fled.
When officers arrived, they found the victim at the scene with non-life-threatening injuries. He refused to go to Harborview.
Detectives are investigating the case.
