RAIN-KING – A shooting in the Rain-King neighborhood in Southeast Seattle is under investigation after police say a man was grazed by a bullet late Thursday night.
The victim was reportedly standing on a porch outside his apartment, near Claremont Avenue South and South Byron Street, when he saw someone lurking in the shadows across the street.
Police say the victim yelled to the subject, asking if they were looking for someone and that’s when the man fired several rounds toward the victim.
The victim was able to take cover and get inside his apartment but his back was grazed by a bullet which left a small wound.
The suspect took off and may have left the scene in a purple sedan.
Gang detectives are investigating the incident.
