There were three arrests in Rainier Beach tonight in connection with a shooting in the 8100 block of Rainier Ave. S.

According to Seattle Police Department:

Prior to the shooting, a group of young men from the Central District came to the South End to visit friends. South end suspects took issue with the presence of these people which eventually led to a disturbance.

The disturbance escalated until both parties began shooting at each other. As half of the group attempted to leave the area in a vehicle the car was stopped by patrol officers and the suspects were taken into custody.

A pistol was recovered from one of the suspects and another pistol was located in the car. No one was injured during the incident.

The vehicle and two guns were impounded.

The Gang Unit is investigating.
