Rainier Valley Man Near Death After Brutal Beating at MLK & Othello

OTHELLO – A Rainier Valley man is in the hospital with life-threatening injuries after he was viciously beaten by three teens while walking near Othello Park on Tuesday evening.

According to police, it was about 7:45 p.m., when the victim was attacked and robbed in the 4200 block of South Othello Street near Martin Luther King, Jr. Way. He said he lost consciousness during the attack, woke up some time later and walked home where he called police.

Seattle Fire Department responded and treated the victim before transporting him to Harborview Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.
