RAINIER VALLEY – This weekend, the Arts Gumbo series continues with an exploration of Brazilian culture through music, dance, food and cultural displays at the Rainier Valley Cultural Center (3515 S. Alaska St.) in Columbia City.

The event is planned for Sat., Oct. 13, and attendees can look forward to traditional and contemporary music and dance and a “taste of Brazil” featuring Pão de Queijo (Brazilian cheese bread), Mousse de Maracujá (Passion Fruit mousse) and Guaraná (Brazilian soft drink).

The fun continues on Sat., Nov. 10, with Arts Gumbo: Argentina! and the passionate dance music of Tangabrazo, a Tango dance workshop for audiences along with Argentinean food.

Tickets for Arts Gumbo 2012 can be purchased here for $10 general; $7 seniors and students; $5 for children 2-12; and $25 for Families of Four or at the door.
