COLUMBIA CITY – This week, the Rainier Valley Food Bank will host a fundraiser that will help the tiny organization continue to feed nearly 11,000 hungry neighbors each month.
The second annual Columbia City Chow Down is planned for this Tues., July 24, from 5 to 9 p.m.
Chow Down passport holders will have the opportunity to sample scrumptious small bites prepared and served by 15 restaurants:

- Full Tilt Ice Cream
- Geraldine’s Counter
- Island Soul Restaurant
- Jones Barbeque
- La Teranga
- Lottie’s Lounge

- St. Dames Cafe
- Tutta Bella Neapolitan Pizzeria
- Wabi-Sabi
“We are thrilled once again to showcase Columbia City’s fabulous, ethnically rich fare and are counting on our community’s support to make Chow Down a smashing success for the second year,” said Sam Osborne, Rainier Valley Food Bank’s executive director. “The funds and awareness that events like this raise are critical to our mission of providing healthy food to our hungry neighbors.”
